StakeWare Wins "The Big Five Competition" Award
from GRI and ING
The Global Reporting Initiative and ING Award StakeWare for Its Innovative On-Demand Solution for Sustainability and Stakeholder Management
San Francisco - May 13, 2010 - StakeWare, a pioneer of on-demand sustainability and stakeholder management software, today announced that the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and ING, a sponsor of the 2010 Amsterdam Global Conference on Sustainability and Transparency, selected StakeWare as one of the winners of "The Big Five Competition." GRI reviewed applications from over 50 small and medium-sized businesses in nearly two dozen countries, and selected five winners based on their contribution to sustainability. StakeWare is the only company from the United States to win the award.
Dailah Nihot, ING's Head of Corporate Responsibility, said, "Given the global challenges in today's world, it is clear we need more innovative sustainable solutions. We co-launched this competition with GRI in an effort to encourage some of the sustainable forerunners and support them in building their businesses for the future."
StakeWare provides a sustainability platform for comprehensive visibility into all initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, GRI reporting, carbon accounting, and philanthropy - enabling companies to optimize their spending across all initiatives, embed sustainability into their decision-making, and improve their reputation. StakeWare's on-demand solutions help capture, map and visualize both quantitative and qualitative information, so companies can engage with all their stakeholders, drive organizational awareness and alignment, and respond to the most important issues of the entire stakeholder community.
"We are deeply honored that the GRI and ING have recognized StakeWare as one of five leaders who are promoting innovation in sustainability," said Natan Zaidenweber, CEO and founder of StakeWare. "Participating in the 2010 Amsterdam Conference allows us to share how our software is helping companies engage with all their stakeholders and provide complete visibility into all their sustainability initiatives, whether they're quantitative and measurable, like carbon accounting, or more qualitative in nature, like philanthropy efforts."
StakeWare, along with the other winners of "The Big Five Competition," will be participating in the 2010 Amsterdam Global Conference on Sustainability and Transparency, from May 26 to May 28, 2010, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
